Don Iovino, the master craftsman has done it once again. Here are some of his personal favorites, the
1500C and 2500C reels, offered in a unique one of a kind set.
The sets include two of each color in the 1500C and 2500C models: Chrome, Blue and Maroon. Some reels are in their original form with the original 10271 drag system.
The Blue reels are original reels, not reproduced. They come with the following serial numbers on the reel foot: 2500C - 070008 and the 1500C - 070007.
The 2500CIAR Chrome reel is original with a serial number of 070007 on the reel foot.
These reels can be ordered in their original state or personally reassembled by Don Iovino with watch-like percision with high performance
gears, bearings and drag system. They function as smoothly as they are beautiful. They are especially coveted by professionals for championship casting tournaments
because of their freespool casting capabilities. The reels are equipped with high speed
gears, some with instant stops. The reassembled reels have "Boca Bearings" which are high precision stainless steel ball bearings.
The bearings are cleand and oiled with a new rocket fuel red label high speed oil imported from England. This makes the bearings
free and very smooth-running. In addition, the old drag has been replaced whith a new Smoooth Drag Silicone Washer.
Don Iovino has created a whole new market for collectors who share the same love of these beautiful reels by
his insistance and persistance of using only true original ABU parts. These reels are true masterful works of art.
The reels can be purchased as an entire set or priced out as individuals.
